POPIA Act

Dear Valued ARTHUR FORD Agent,

As you may be aware, the remainder of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, comes into effect on 1 July 2021.

ARTHUR FORD has taken steps, as required by the POPI Act, in processing personal information. As defined by the POPI Act, when personal information is received, it places obligations on the responsible person (yourself as our agent and then ARTHUR FORD) when processing the customer’s personal information. We have put measures in place to comply with the following requirements:

• Safeguard personal information when it is processed by ARTHUR FORD
• Regulate the use of personal information and all parties in relationship with ARTHUR FORD to comply with these measurements

By continuing to be an agent of ARTHUR FORD’s you are indicating that you agree to comply with the POPI Act. 

When shopping instore you will be asked to give consent to let ARTHUR FORD store your information as well as use it for Marketing (in the form of sms’s, phone calls and emails). Should you chose to select “NO” instore, you will be contacted by head office to further explain the POPI act as well as inform you that we may no longer be able to have you as an agent as we cannot store your data.
